About The Maker
Yampa Valley Sauce Co. is owned and operated by husband and wife team Clay and Tami Meers. In fact, hot sauce played a role in what took their friendship to a more spicy level years ago. Sure, long walks on the beach are nice but Clay knew Tami was the one when she pulled a hot sauce bottle from her purse one day over lunch. Shortly thereafter came a move to Steamboat Springs, CO where YVSC was born. In addition to hot sauce, we are also a big fan of Fish Tacos and of all the sauce flavors available on the market, there was something missing…Avocado hot sauce! After many trial batches, we found that Avocado and Habanero made for the perfect compliment to our favorite meal and Habacado hot sauce became a reality. The positive response from our family, friends and complete strangers to Habacado inspired us to take this passion and turn it into a lifestyle. We now eat, breath and sweat hot sauce (literally) and would have it no other way. We continue to create unique flavor combinations and are incredibly proud of the Yampa Valley Sauce line up which includes Habacado, Strabeñero, Purple Blaze and Broja.
