About The Maker
Funky’s Hot Sauce Factory was born in 2006 but we didn’t begin selling our sauces to the public until the summer of 2019. After years of producing sauces for friends and family using peppers harvested from our own miniature farm we finally turned it into a real business. Nowadays, the peppers in our sauces are purchased from Non-GMO and/or organic (local when possible) farms and we reserve our homegrown harvests for test batches.
Funky’s Hot Sauce Factory is 100% vegan, gluten free, Non-GMO and mostly organic. We are committed to using locally sourced and organic ingredients when available!
One of our core values has always been to produce great tasting, well balanced sauce with loads of flavor along with the heat. We pride ourselves on delivering unique sauces to both, hot sauce fanatics and those who have just begun to explore the hot sauce universe.

Grand World Champion at the New York City Hot Sauce Expo
In 2022, Funky's was named the grand world champion at the New York City Hot Sauce Expo, becoming the first Pacific Northwest company to achieve this honor.
Screaming Mimi "Reaper Sauce" category
Funky's won 1st place in the Screaming Mimi "Reaper Sauce" category at the New York City Hot Sauce Expo in 2022.
Scovie Awards
Funky's has won three awards at the Scovie Awards for their sauces Pieno Di Stelle, Stellar Fuzz, and Chili Librae.
Good Food Awards
Funky's won two Good Food Awards for their sauces "Chili Librae" and "Stellar Fuzz".
Zest Fest
Funky's won first place in the xtra hot chili blend category for "The Ghost Of Christmas" at Zest Fest in Texas. They also won second place in the alcohol infused sauce category for "Liquid Sunshine Delirium" and third place in the Carolina reaper based sauce category for "Seeing Stars".
